Build your own floor mounted pedal box for your race car, off road buggy, or go kart with these DXF cut files and step-by-step plans.
This version of the plans includes clutch, brake and throttle pedals. For my brake and throttle pedal only version please see here:
The clutch pedal is intended to use a single master cylinder.
The brake pedal uses dual master cylinders with a balance bar mechanism, to allow for adjustment of front to rear brake bias.
The throttle cable linkage can be configured for one or two throttle cables, useful for ITB's, twin engine setups and more. The throttle pedal is designed to use a torsion spring for pedal return. There are throttle stops with set screws in the idle and full throttle positions.
The supplied DXF files are intended to be CNC cut from 1/8" steel, then welded and painted yourself. Plasma, laser or waterjet cutting is suitable for this project.
These plans are designed to be simple to follow and build; all cut steel pieces feature tab and slot alignment making the fit up of the assemblies easy.
Most purchased fasteners and hardware are common things you can find at most hardware or automotive stores.
The throttle, brake and clutch pedal pads can be adjusted vertically and horizontally similar to commercially available options.
The plans include 112 pages of parts and assembly drawings that walk you through the assembly of this pedal set. There are many parts with part number references from a common online retailer.
